Download NS Files

I’ve split the download into two separate files, one with the map, overview, flag icons and waypoints. The other with all the textures, models and sounds needed to run the map. This way when I convert any other NS maps I won’t have to keep uploading the same files over and over again. I can just update the content zip. So make sure you download both files.

As always let me know if there are any issues.

Sturmbot waypoints and overview included.

I’ve converted another of the old natural selection maps to be playable in DoD, I did a lot more modification this time compared to when I did dod_ns_tanith.
I’ve used a lot of sounds from NS, made new flag icons and even used the resource collector models instead of flags.
I also added invisible ladders to most vents throughout the map so that you can climb up into them like the aliens used to do.
There’s quite a few files needed for the map to run so if I’ve accidentally missed a file in the download zip let me know and I’ll get it sorted.

Sturmbot waypoints and overview included.

MarineBot for Day of Defeat

Exciting news for any bot enthusiasts like me! Frank McNeil has been hard at work converting his bot, which was originally made for the mod Firearms, to work with Day of Defeat.

As some of you most likely already know we haven’t had an actively developed bot for DoD for quite some time.

The bot is still in it’s early stages in terms of DoD but is already very good, and has been a joy to learn to waypoint for. It has a very different method of waypointing compared to sturm or shrikebot, which gives the waypointer much more control over the way the bot behaves.

If you’re interested in giving the bot a try head over to the new MarineBot Installer page which has the link to the download.

I will also be writing a commands page with basic instructions on how to use the bot in-game. This may take a while so I apologise if it’s missing anything you need help with.
